Global Development Policy and Advocacy Intern

Save the Children is a leading humanitarian organization improving the lives of children worldwide.                                     

  • Pioneered statistical evaluations with USAID determining the human impact of decreases in humanitarian aid funding

  • Authored a “Global Situation Report” detailing every global crisis to increase social awareness for Congress, made in collaboration with the UN Foundation, OxFam, CARE, and World Vision, and informed policy strategies on Capitol Hill

  • Led 10 constituents to meetings with Congresspeople, briefing them on pivotal policy initiatives effecting national education during Save the Children's annual Advocacy Summit 

  • Facilitated meetings with 50 Congresspeople, increasing support for bills concerning global health, education and gender equity and increasing 

  • Contributed to the maintenance of Global Health funding between FY17 and FY18, and to a 34% increase in funding for global health programs from the President’s FY18 budget request.
